South Carolina Identity Theft
South Carolina states that a person is guilty of financial identity fraud when he uses, without the authorization or permission, the identifying information of another person in order to gain the financial resources of that person for his own use. The law is codified as the SC Personal F inancial Security Act (§§ 16-13-510 – 530).
