New Mexico Identity Theft
New Mexico law states that theft of identity consists of, among other things, “willfully obtaining, recording or transferring personal identifying information of another person without the authorization or consent of that person and with the intent to defraud that person or another.” The statute itself is found in New Mexico Code § 30-16-24.1.
