Delaware Identity Theft
Like most other states, Delaware has laws that deal with identity theft, which in Delaware refers to the unauthorized use of another person’s personal identifying information in order to commit or facilitate a crime.
The statute itself is Delaware Criminal Code § 854. As with many other states, Delaware law not only addresses the use of someone else’s personal information to commit a crime or fraud, but also trafficking (e.g., buying and selling) such information.
